Formerly the Mid-Bohemian Gallery, the Czech Museum of Fine Arts was founded in 1963 as a regional gallery. It was originally housed in Nelahozeves Castle near Prague, relocating into three sympathetically restored baroque buildings on Husova Street in the Old Town district of Prague in 1971. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions of twentieth-century Czech art as well as retrospectives of foreign artists. Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday - 10:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 6 pm
